What is IELTS ?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the most widely recognised English language test in the world. IELTS is accepted by over 12,000 organisations in more than 140 countries and is developed by some of the world’s leading experts in language assessment.

You can take IELTS to : 

  • Apply to a university or higher education institution for a course taught in English in any country worldwide. 
  • Spend a short period of studying abroad.
  • Work in a professional organisationthat requires adavanced English language proficiency.
  • Immigrate to and English-speaking country such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

Which IELTS test is right for me ?

IELTS opens the pathway for you to discover the world, get the job you want, and demonstrate your English language abilities. The test you choose depends on your goal.

IELTS Academic :  It measures if your English language proficiency level is suitable for an academic enviroment. The test reflects aspects of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to begin training or a course of workplace settings.

IELTS General Training : It measures English language knowledge in a practicle, everyday context. The tasks reflect real-life situations in socials or workplace settings.

IELTS on Computer ? 

 

You can now take the IELTS exam on a computer, offering more flexibility with a wider range of test dates. Find IELTS here to choose your preferred date and location.   

 

You have the option to take the IELTS test on Computer at a Certified test center.  

 

By choosing the computer-based test, you’ll receive your results faster—within eight working days—delivered in a digital format (e-TRF).

Test Structure and Scoring: What to Expect 

 

Get ready to showcase your English skills across four key areas in the IELTS test:    

  •  Listening: 30 minutes
  •  Reading: 60 minutes
  •  Writing: 60 minutes
  •  Speaking: 11-14 minutes

That’s a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes dedicated to proving your proficiency!

Each section is scored individually on a scale of 0 to 9 with your results presented in a Test Report Form (TRF) that also includes an overall band score. This score gives a clear snapshot of your English proficiency, recognized worldwide.
