The Centre for Psychological and Counselling Services was established since 2020 January. This centre is a subsidiary centre of the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Southern University College. The development of this centre aims to provide affordable psychological and counselling services to the public, such as psychotherapy, counselling, and psychoeducation sessions. This centre is run by registered counsellors who are also the lecturers from the Department of Psychology and Counselling. The strength in this service centre will also enable the research members to offer themselves as a platform for less obviously related disciplines to get involved; for example, linking up with the ongoing work related to education, well-being, mental health and other socioeconomic factors which are critically important to families and young children.
