We are beyond proud to announce that Lai Jing Yuan, one of our talented FAD students, has been selected as a winner in the Usaha Tegas Heritage Art Competition 2024. This prestigious national competition sees the best of Malaysia’s artistic talent compete across five categories: Oil/Acrylic, Charcoal/Pencil/Ink, Mixed Media, Watercolour, and Printmaking.
Lai Jing Yuan has earned a Consolation Prize in the Mixed Media category and is the only winner from the southern region among over 300 participants across Malaysia. Our student stand proudly alongside other finalists from renowned institutions such as the University Malaya, UiTM Shah Alam, Dasein Academy of Art, University Malaysia Sabah, Akedemi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (Aswara), Equator College, etc.
The prize presentation ceremony, held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 12 Nov 2024, was a moment to remember, celebrating the outstanding creativity of Malaysia’s future artists.

令人振奋的消息！赖劲元荣获2024年Usaha Tegas Heritage艺术大赛奖项
我们很高兴的宣布，南方大学学院艺术与设计学院的学生赖劲元成功入选为2024年Usaha Tegas Heritage艺术大赛的优胜者。 这项备受瞩目的全国赛事聚集了马来西亚最优秀的艺术人才，其中赛项包括油画/亚克力、炭笔/铅笔/墨水、混合媒介、水彩、版画五个类别。
赖劲元同学成功在混合媒介赛项中取得安慰奖的成绩，并成为南马唯一一个获奖者。赖劲元同学成功在300多项参赛作品中脱颖而出， 并成功从多家教育机构中得到评审的青睐，实在是为校争光。
此次艺术大赛的颁奖典礼于2024年11月12日在吉隆坡Mandarin Oriental酒店举行，给与了获奖的优秀艺术人才莫大的肯定及嘉许。
这个奖项代表着南方大学学院艺术与设计学院的学生有无限的潜能及优秀的能力， 我们为学生的成功感到骄傲，并希望学生能用于突破自我， 在艺术及创意领域发光发热。
