This programme is designed mainly for students who enjoy solving accounting problems by applying the fundamental theories and accounting methods. In this programme, students are required to not only have specialised knowledge in accounting, finance, auditing and taxation, but also are expected to master management skills and the legal aspects of businesses so as to optimise and support their accounting knowledge.
Career Prospects
After graduation, students can choose to pursue undergraduate degree from universities locally or overseas. However, for those who prefer working, a variety of accounting related career opportunities and specialisations are available to them. Students may specialise in auditing, financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, financial management, insolvency and consultancy work. Entry Requirement
• SPM/O-Level: A minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and pass in English subjects
• STPM: A minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in a subject and Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
• STAM: A minimum grade of Maqbul and Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English language at SPM level
• SKM Level 3 in the related field: Possess SKM Level 3 in a related field and Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
• UEC: A minimum of grade B in 3 subjects including Mathematics and pass in English subjects
• Certificate in the related field (Level 3, MQF): A minimum CGPA of 2.00
• Others: Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
• English Competency requirement (International Student): IELTS-4.5 / MUET-Band 3 / equivalent to CEFR(Mid B1)
